She can do whatever she wants.
When you mention it later, she tells you:

And if you insist it happened, she starts screaming and blames you for “Making things up.”
But sometimes you have witnesses.
In that case, she intimidates the witnesses. Until they remember it her way.

This was written just for my mom. Who tells everyone how I got busted with beer on her friends land having my sr party. Well there was a bust but it was my sainted brother. She also tells this story about me wearing a purple velour jacket and pants to school everyday. It was her friends daughter. But she even goes on to tell about how I begged for this outfit and she finally bought it. My friends laugh hysterically and she gets mad saying I made them agree with me.
